Westminster student wins with ag art

Ag-poster-winner-w-050516Westminster Academy in Memphis has announced that one of its students took first-place honors in the Agricenter International’s poster contest, which promoted the role and importance of agriculture.

Fifth-grade teacher Kim Dougherty challenged her students to enter, and Sarah Catherine Donovan took top honors in the 5th/6th-grade category out of all public and private schools in Shelby County.

Her poster, with her name and Westminster Academy engraved on a plaque, will hang for one year at the Tennessee State Capitol in the office of Senator Mark Norris before moving to the Shelby County Sheriff’s office. On year three, her poster will hang for its duration at the Agricenter International.
