Organizers of Bartlett’s sesquicentennial celebrations this year are asking for the public’s help.
The Bartlett Historical Society is requesting information and pictures of Bartlett from all who would like to contribute.
People who have genealogical information and pictures of their family are invited to place them on file at the Bartlett Museum/Gotten House.
Those who live in a historic home and would like to share the history and pictures are also encouraged to bring them them to the Bartlett Museum/Gotten House from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Jan. 23 or Jan. 30.
A printer/scanner will be on hand to make copies as needed.
“We are all making history every day — please share yours with the community through us,” museum director Sue Griffith Coleman said.
The history of the City will be displayed the weekend of April 16-17 in the Bartlett Station and Bartlett Historic District, coordinated by the Bartlett Historical Society.
Volunteers are needed for that weekend to portray citizens, help with tours, do research for dialogue, help with costumes, and many other tasks.
