Vittles for Vets

The Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce staff and ambassadors gathered at Bailey’s Country Vittles on Sept. 30 for an 11:30 a.m. ceremonial ribbon cutting for the new chamber member.

Bailey’s Country Vittles is owned by veteran Rick Bailey in honor of veterans. The owner included several of his World War II patrons in the ceremony (seated in front). As a veteran of the Air Force himself, Bailey created the restaurant to serve as a place for veterans to go and feel at home.

Immediately after the ceremony, Andy Wise with WMC ActionNews 5 made a surprise visit to name the restaurant as This Week’s Big Tip with a score of 98.

Bailey’s Country Vittles is at 6158 Stage Road, Bartlett; phone (901) 590-0577. Get updates and see local photos on the restaurant’s Facebook page. See ratings and a copy of the menu on their UrbanSpoon page, as well as additional information on their Yelp.com page.
