U of M offers full ride to children of fallen military veterans

Starting this fall, the University of Memphis will not charge tuition to children of fallen military veterans. U of M already accepts the $5,000 annual Folds of Honor Scholarship, but the school is starting to match that gift.

The U of M website says the scholarship is available to students who have a parent who died or lost a limb in military service. Details have not yet been worked out on whether there will be a cap on such students’ admissions or if it’s only for Tennessee residents.

The announcement comes on the heels of the U of M’s announcement there will be no tuition increase for the 2018-19 school year. See the university’s website at memphis.edu for more information.
