Amber Turner of Bartlett was one of approximately 100 students to receive degrees Dec. 14 at Freed-Hardeman University’s winter commencement exercises. Turner graduated with a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology.
United Nations Ambassador Waheed Waheedullah greeted attendees and expressed appreciation to the university. Having served in various capacities, he is best known for his work within the U.N. and the international community and for his contributions to peacekeeping, peace-building, peacemaking, conflict prevention, conflict management and conflict resolution. He is the architect and designer of the Bonn Agreement for a Comprehensive Political Settlement of the Afghan Conflict.
