Bartlett fell to Dyer County 2-1 on Saturday in the I-40 Tournament. Dyer County would go on to beat Collierville Monday in the semifinal round. The loss came two days after Bartlett got a close 3-2 win over Lewisburg. The Panthers are now 24-6 on the season and scheduled to open District 14-AAA Tournament play on Friday. Bolton improved to 10-17 on the season Monday after knocking off Covington 9-7. The Wildcats fell behind 3-1 early but gained momentum with four runs in the sixth inning. Tigers improve to 25-4 for season
The Arlington Tigers blanked St. George’s 7-0 Monday on the road and improved to 25-4 on the season. The win came two days after Arlington beat FACS 11-1 on Senior Night. Pitcher Austin Brenner picked up his sixth win of the season. After going up 1-0 in the first inning, the Tigers put the contest out of reach in the third by scoring four runs.
After hosting Harding on Tuesday night, Arlington will begin District 14-AAA Tournament play on Friday at USA Stadium in Millington. The Tigers will take on the winner of the Bolton vs. Kingsbury matchup at 7 p.m. The Tigers beat Kingsbury 15-0 in early April, one game after beating Bolton 6-0.
