Arlington High School students and parents show a united front and a sense of fun with themed clothing among the Tiger fans in the stands. At a recent Aug. 19 game, they showed their “Aloha” spirit when the Tigers won against the Kirby Cougars, 49 to 14. More recently, the Arlington varsity football team beat Manassas 41-8 at home Friday night to improve to 2-0 on the season. The Tigers went up 27-0 in the first quarter and never looked back, picking up 200 rushing yards in the game while only allowing 17. Running back Kenny Walker exploded for 90 yards on only five carries and quarterback Tate Kolwyck completed seven passes for 115 yards. The Tigers have scored more than 40 points in their first two games. Arlington will host Whitehaven (2-0) this Friday at 7 p.m. Photo by RogerCotton.com.
