Bon Lin Middle School student Ryan Stark was among the winners of the Tennessee State Fire Marshal Fire Prevention poster contest winners. Stark and eighth grader at the school, was sponsored by the Bartlett Fire Department.
State Fire Marshal and Department of Commerce and Insurance Commissioner Julie Mix McPeak awarded students certificates and savings bonds for their efforts.
Fire prevention received 278 poster entries from 102 schools.
“It’s evident that the young people whose work is arrayed here today gave a lot of thought to this year’s contest them on home escape plans,” McPeak said.
