In Saturday’s Penny Hardaway National Hoopfest, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy’s basketball squad scored a 67-49 victory over the Arlington Tigers. With the victory, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy improves its record to 15-4 on the campaign. Down 36-17 at halftime, Arlington struggled until the fourth quarter, when the Hawks were outscored 24-12. The Tigers will play at Bartlett on Friday. The Bartlett Panthers (10-9) got off to a slow start Friday against Montverde Academy (12-1) in the Penny Hardaway National Hoopfest and never recovered. Down 41-19 at halftime, the Panthers hung with the Eagles of Florida in the third quarter but were outscored 23-6. The Bartlett Lady Panthers fell 53-33 to Bolton last week. Bartlett jumped out to a 14-11 lead but Bolton answered in the second quarter with a 14-3 lead. Bartlett never recovered. The Lady Panthers are 4-7 on the season. Kiya Sidney paced Bartlett with 11 points and Teaya Reaves added 5 points. Bartlett will host Arlington this Friday.
