Fourteen rifle shots blasted into the Tennessee Highway Patrol Headquarters building in Bartlett Sunday night, damaging the structure but not hitting the people inside.
Shots were fired around 8:55 p.m., hitting walls and the front glass and doors of the building at 6348 Summer Avenue.
The Bartlett Police Department is investigating the shooting, and a spokesman said there were no known threats and no similar shootings at the location before the incident.
A lieutenant and two dispatchers were inside at the time of the shooting.
