A suspected Arlington car burglar confessed Friday to using a stolen credit card and signing the receipt to buy a 60-inch LG television.
The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) got a tip on Jan. 31 that Jonathan Hill was the suspect who broke a vehicle’s passenger side window two days earlier and stole the victim’s wallet from the center console. The crime occurred at an area liquor store near U.S. 70 and Greenlee.
Hill has been charged with burglary of a vehicle, fraudulent use of a credit card, forgery and identity theft.
To date, there have been at least six burglaries in the Arlington area since Jan. 1.
