Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett will be celebrating a decade of health care with fun activities that are open to the public.
On Saturday, May 31, the hospital will host a free community carnival from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Attractions will include rides, games, music and other activities for the entire family. A food truck rodeo will also feature several vendors serving their unique cuisines.
The festivities will continue at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 2, when the hospital hosts a celebration ceremony featuring cake, punch and a look at the past, present and future of the hospital. Hospital tours will also be available at this time.
Speakers will include Bartlett Mayor Keith McDonald, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett CEO Jeremy Clark, and Tenet Healthcare CEO Trevor Fetter.
The hospital opened in 2004 as a 90-bed, 204,000 square foot facility. Since then, its growth has included construction of the Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett Imaging Center, a facility expansion that increased the hospital’s capacity to 196 beds and the size of the hospital to 305,000 square feet, and an emergency room expansion that increased the number of treatment rooms from 19 to 33.
The hospital has also added services that include robotic surgery, spine surgery and a STEMI program for treating the most severe type of heart attacks.
“Many people supported this hospital even before we opened our doors 10 years ago,” said Jeremy Clark, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett chief executive officer. “Our 10-year celebration is our way of thanking the community for their past support and letting them know that we have a bright and exciting future.”
The lineup of speakers expected to participate in the celebration ceremony includes Clark, Bartlett mayor Keith McDonald and Trevor Fetter, chief executive officer of Tenet Healthcare.
