Saint Francis Hospital-Memphis and Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett have been honored with an “A” Hospital Safety Scores by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital industry watchdog whose board members include FedEx Corporation and Memphis Business Group on Health.
The Leapfrog Group’s nine-member Blue Ribbon Expert Panel uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to produce a score representing a hospital’s overall capacity to keep patients safe from preventable harm. More than 2,500 hospitals have been assigned scores; less than a third received an “A.”
“Every day our team of Saint Francis colleagues is focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the safety of the care we deliver,” said David Archer, Saint Francis Healthcare chief executive officer. “We are proud to receive ‘A’ grades in safety from The Leapfrog Group, as we believe it reflects the hard work of our team to position our hospitals as leading, trusted providers of care for the patients we are privileged to serve.”
