Bon Lin Elementary announced the recipients of the PTA Life Achievement Award last week during the Shelby County Council PTA Founders’ Day Luncheon. Karen Luellen, an art teacher at Bon Lin, was given the National PTA Life Achievement Award, the highest honor given to PTA members and leaders. Laura McManus, a second grade teacher at Bon Lin, Sherman Austin, GCA Day Porter, and Lisa Barton, PTA Room Parent coordinator, were given the Tennessee PTA Life Achievement Award.
