With Bartlett City Schools back in session this week, the City of Bartlett is reminding citizens to be mindful of the many school zones and crossing guards throughout the city. Each school zone will be clearly marked with a sign and/or flashing yellow lights that indicate when the school speed zone will be in effect.
Remember not to block any streets or driveways when dropping off or picking up a child. There also was a law passed in Tennessee last year making it illegal to be on any handheld electronic device while in an active school zone.
Additionally, there is still construction going on at Bartlett High School. Parents and student drivers should allow for extra time in the mornings around the BHS construction zone, especially during the first couple of weeks of the school year.
