2-25-13 Officer was called to Virgil in regard to a burglary. Complainant advised that unknown person(s) entered his storage building and stole a Briggs and Straton 5000 watt generator ($800.00) and a hunter ceiling fan ($400.00) some time between 2-21-13 and 2-24-13.
2/25/2013 Officer responded to Oak Forest regarding damage to a vehicle. Complainant stated that his vehicle, a Chevrolet S10 pickup, was parked on the street in front of his residence. At some time during the weekend, the vehicle was damaged on the driver side door. There was a large dent along with scratches in the paint that appeared to have come from a blue or green vehicle.
2/26/13 Officer was dispatched to 2935 N. Germantown, Hampton Inn, regarding an auto burglary. between the hours of 2200 and 0800. Unknown suspect(s) broke the window of the (2007) Chevy Impala, which was parked on the west side of the inn, rear parking lot. the suspect(s) took a tomtom gps, valued at approximately $300 and a garage door opener, valued at approximately $20. the damaged window is valued at approx. ($200). the victim does wish to prosecute. upon speaking with the manager, Larry Dwyer, he advised that his security cameras recorded a white Chevy HHR pulling onto the lot at approximately 0625 on Feb. 26 and back in next to the victims vehicle. a copy of the footage was turned in as evidence.
02/25/2013 Officers responded to a Burglary in progress at Caraway Cove. Complainant, advised he observed three male blacks trying to force open his neighbors back window. The Suspects fled the scene upon observing the Complainant call for police assistance. The witness gave a description of suspects. Officers observed a male matching this description on Fisk and announced himself as a Police Officer and yelled for the suspect to stop at which time the suspect ran. This Suspect was caught and taken into custody at 4230 Altruria. Officers located the other two suspects hiding in woods that are bordered by Egypt-Central and Ellendale Rd. The two suspects fled on foot toward Ellendale. The Suspects where stopped at Ellendale and Prosperity Way and taken into custody. Once under arrest the suspects were advised of Miranda rights one advised that he and the other two suspects where at the above residence and that the other two suspects were trying to gain entry into the address.
2/27/2013 Officer reported to Albright Cove in regard to a fraud complaint. Victim stated on Feb. 27 between approx. 10:00 and 10:30, an unknown suspect used her Renasant Bank Master Card at a Sam’s Club in Marietta,GA. The suspect made five transactions for $1345.38. The victim contacted Renasant Bank and put a cancellation on her card. The victim is unaware of how the suspect obtained her credit card number.
2/28/2013 officer was dispatched to Bristol Park Circle on a burglary complaint. Victim said that she left for work and returned home to discover that her home had been burglarized. there were no signs of forced entry into the residence but the kitchen exit door was unlocked, and she said it was locked when she left for work. Several high value items were taken from the residence including two flatscreen televisions, a dell laptop computer and several expensive jewelry items.
2/28/13 Officer responded to 5995 Stage Road at Kroger in regard to a robbery. The victim stated as she was placing her groceries into her vehicle, she was approached by an unknown male black who demanded her purse. The victim stated the suspect very calmly said, “Give me your purse”. When the victim refused, the suspect stated, “I’m not playing with you” raising his arm. The victim stated she then observed the suspect pointing a handgun at her. The suspect then snatched the victim’s purse off of her shoulder, ran northeast through the parking lot, entered a dark blue sedan and left. Several witnesses stated they observed the suspect taking the victim’s purse and run toward the blue vehicle; enter on the passenger side and leave. The victim and witnesses all describe the suspect as a 17-20 year old male/black, thin build, approximately 5’6″ 150 lbs with short black hair, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
