
There was no shortage of drama in the Panther Playhouse performances of “You Can’t Take It With You” at Bartlett High School Nov. 10-12. The play takes a look at what happens when zany eccentrics living by Columbia University have to straighten up their act to make a good impression on a young family member’s practical fiance and his family. Mayhem ensues, ending with a group arrest, wise words and a “loves conquers all” happy ending.
The production starred MyKenzi Young (Alice Sycamore), Caleb Heath (Martin Vanderhof), Joe Kusmierz (Tony Kirby) and Kaelyn Grubbs (Penelope Sycamore). The cast also included Solomon Stafford, Kaelin Mitchell, Josh Morrow, Isabella Cleveland, Trent Wicker, Adam Dawidow, Caleb Medlin, Marissa Talley and Kameron Franklin.
The production was directed by Kevin Rogers. Assistant direction was by Chris Steele and Aubrey Hayes.
