Have pancakes with Santa, shop and support Bartlett High School Band

Santa had good assistance from a helper elf at last year’s pancake breakfast and silent auction. With him is Michael Thompson, now a senior and a varsity band member at Bartlett High School.

Could anything be more holiday friendly than eating with the jolliest of elves and stocking up on unique Christmas presents? The Bartlett High School Band is hosting a Pancake Breakfast with Santa and Silent Auction on Dec. 10. And of course there will be bacon with the pancakes.

The event will be 8-11 a.m. at the high school cafeteria (5688 Woodlawn, Building E, and parking is available in front of the school. Organizers say the band is growing rapidly, and they are raising money for band uniforms, new instruments, specialized instructors and general band expenses.

Tickets are $5 per person, and photos with Santa will be $3. There are free Hallmark Christmas ornaments available for each person who gets his or her picture taken, while supplies last.

The silent auction offers a diverse array of items, including an autographed Dale Earnhardt race car fender, restaurant and movie gift cards, Christmas ornaments and more. People who want to donate items to the auction to support the BHS band are encouraged to do so. Donors can contact Emily Cook at the4cooks@gmail.com or (901) 292-7372.
