A free seminar is available for veterans and spouses to learn more about Veterans Adminis-tration Aid and Attendance Improved Pension.
The event will be 10 a.m. Nov. 14 and 2 p.m. Nov. 17 at Berclair Church of Christ at 4536 Summer Ave., Memphis.
Veterans from WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam can attend, along with their spouses and caregivers, to find out if they qualify for between $13,788 and $25,440 in tax-free aid each year.
The pension was established to help veterans from these wars and their spouses to afford basic necessities. The benefit is not dependent on service-related injuries. It helps cover qualified, un-reimbursed medical expenses, including assisted living facility care.
Seating is limited. For reservations, call Cheryl Beaman at (901) 270-0964.
The seminar’s speaker will be J. Anthony Bradley, a VA-accredited attorney from the Bartley Law Firm PLLC in Germantown.
