The Bartlett Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 with Leann Speering as the featured speaker. She will share pictures and history from her recent trip to Shanghai and Beijing. Everyone is welcome to come and hear her stories and learn how ancient China and modern culture coexist. The Bartlett Historical Society is located in the Bartlett Museum/Gotten House, 2969 Court Street in Bartlett. The group’s annual Christmas Open House will be 2-4 p.m. Nov. 18, and the Gotten House will be decorated for an old-fashioned Christmas, featuring a wide variety of beautiful nativities. Light refreshments will be served, and admission is free with donations accepted.
