Arlingtons #8 Bryan Lewis II can't shake Houstons #6 Daniel Bantom

Arlington literally needed every second on the game clock Friday night to defeat Houston 34-32 in round two of the TSSA Class 6A tournament. Trailing 32-28 with 58 seconds left in the game, the Tigers (11-2) marched downfield. On the second-to-last play of the game, Houston was called for pass interference, giving Arlington one more shot at the end zone. With zero seconds on the clock, freshman quarterback Tate Kolwyck threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Boring to clinch the win. Kolwyck finished the game with 296 passing yards and 52 rushing yards. Junior running back Keelon Webber had 70 rushing yards and averaged four yards a carry. The Tigers must now face No. 1 seeded Whitehaven on the road Friday night in the tournament quarterfinals. Whitehaven (12-0) is coming off a close 14-7 tournament win over Rossview.
