Founded in 1972, New Neighbors of the Greater Memphis Area Inc. is a nonprofit organization of “neighbors meeting neighbors through social activities and community service.”

The organization has more than 400 members from the greater Memphis, Tenn., metropolitan area, including the surrounding suburbs.

Activities include monthly membership luncheons at various locations, get-acquainted coffee meetings to welcome new friends, couples’ activities and events on the evenings and weekends, community service opportunities with local charities and activity groups for sports, games, hobbies, dining and socializing. Social activities may include sports, reading, games, movies and more, and they serve their communities in volunteering and fundraising.
