Many take Martin Luther King Day as a day of service, including these volunteers Monday at Memphis Academy of Health Sciences. From left, they included Magnolia Littlefield and Mary Abby Tagg of Memphis, Cynthia Griffin of Germantown, Rick Johnson of Memphis and Erin Cook of Barlett. They were among about 40 volunteers who performed a half-day of community service while the facility was closed in honor of MLK Day. Fed Ex employees from the Inside Sales Team teamed up with Volunteer Memphis to paint locker rooms, bathroom hallways and stairwells, as well as clean out the trophy cases and prepare an inventory of the school’s electrical devices. FedEx employees were participating in the company’s “FedEx Cares” program to improve the lives of those in the community where they work.
