Air Force Airman Shaun K. Gustafson of Cordova has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
Air Force Airman Cody G. McGinnis of Arlington has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
Both airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Gustafson is the son of Kevin and Vonda Gustafson of Cordova, brother of Nicole Simmons of Bartlett, and nephew of Greg Gustafson of Pensacola, Fla. He graduated in 2014 from Arlington High School.
McGinnis is the husband of Julie McGinnis. He is also the son of Clayton and Suzanne McGinnis of Arlington and son-in-law of Donna Burlseson of Arlington and Robert Burleson of Southaven, Miss. The airman graduated in 2011 from Bolton High School in Arlington.
