Navy Seaman Recruit Christopher R. Paulk, son of Clifford J. Paulk of Bartlett and Jennifer G. Paulk of Marysville, Wash., recently completed eight weeks of U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Paulk is a 2013 graduate of Marysville Getchell High School in Marysville, Wash.
Training included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness..
