Special area activities for Memorial Day weekend have been announced by the Marine Corps League (MCL), Sgt. Walter K. Singleton Detachment 476 in Memphis, and the public is invited to attend and pay their respects:
- 8 a.m. Saturday, Memphis National Cemetery, Rifle Detail at the Boy Scout Memorial
- 2 p.m. Saturday, Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Recognition Ceremony, USA Stadium in Millington, Rifle Detail, Pipes and Drums, and MCL Honor Guard
- 9-11 a.m. Sunday, Bartlett Baptist Church, Detachment Color Guard with Pipes and Drums Band
- 2 p.m. Sunday, Memphis National Cemetery, Rifle Detail and MCL Honor Guard
