A. Keith McDonald, best known as the present mayor of Bartlett, has chosen to retire from the insurance business after 32 years at the helm of the family-operated business.
His son, Brooks, has taken over the enterprise on Stage Road in Bartlett Station.
McDonald said he looks forward to running the day-to-day operations of the city and his upcoming re-election campaign for office.
“I would like to thank my long-term policy holders for their many years of business.” McDonald said.
Brooks is celebrating 10 years in the industry and said he looks forward to merging he and his father’s clients and “serving them with a myriad of insurance and financial services.”
With a current staff of 10, McDonald Insurance has a satellite office in Covington.
“I am truly excited about continuing a level of superior service to our clients and creating a legacy that makes my father proud,” said Brooks.
