Los Lonely Boys will rock the Bartlett area into the holiday season on Nov. 8 with a 7:30 p.m. performance at the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center.
Riding their bluesy Texas sound to fame, this Texican Rock trio was made famous by their song “Heaven” in 2004, spending 76 weeks on the Billboard charts in adult contemporary and in the Top 40. Flawless harmonies and soaring solos have been long-lasting trademarks, making them a favorite among critics and fans alike.
Brothers Henry, Jojo and Ringo are lifelong musicians and have played with a variety of other big-name artists such as Carlos Santana, Radney Foster and the Black-Eyed Peas. As Grammy winners, Los Lonely Boys strives to make music that brings people together and reminds its fiercely loyal fan base of the energy that we carry as people.
Opener Ping Rose is a unique mix of virtuoso guitar playing with a heavy dose of Tennessee vibe. A singer and guitarist from Memphis, he has done everything from session work for producers such as Jazze Pha to leading sessions on Music Row. He has even being featured on CMT’s “Nashville,” playing guitar for Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere).
He is mostly known for his high energy guitar playing with his band, The Anti-Heroes, or his solo performances on acoustic guitar, as well as his blues and jazz influenced trio.
Ping has been playing live since 2006 after finishing high school. Before he finished college, he was already teaching music and playing regularly in Memphis. Once he finished his studies he began playing for B.B. King’s Blues Club on three cruise ships while moving to Nashville.
BPACC Director Michael Bollinger said, “I’m so pleased to present Los Lonely Boys at BPACC. I’ve been a fan ever since ‘Heaven.’ Their vocals, lead guitar, their sheer energy is contagious! I’m also proud to present Memphis’ own Ping Rose as their opening act. Nov. 8 will be a great night at BPACC.”
