Lifeblood will be honoring the country’s retired and active military service members as part of its 18th annual M*A*S*H Bash Celebration, taking place between July 4 and August 31 at all Lifeblood donor centers and mobile blood drives.
Volunteers who donate during this period will receive a limited edition M*A*S*H Bash T-shirt. They also will have the option to surrender the T-shirt in exchange for a contribution to be made to the Forever Young Senior Wish Organization to fund a trip for World War II Veterans to the site of the Battle of the Bulge.
“Donating blood is a vital community service,” said Jennifer Balink, vice president of donor relations at Lifeblood. “M*A*S*H Bash is Lifeblood’s way of showing support for both veterans and active service members, our true community heroes.”
Balink added that the blood supply currently is critically low, and Lifeblood is seeking donors of all blood types, especially O negative (the universal blood type), A negative and B positive.
