NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet in the Assembly Chamber at Bartlett City Hall on Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. for a hearing to consider the following request:

David Bray, Bray-Davis Firm, is requesting a variance from the minimum greenspace requirement of 35 percent on behalf of Gus’s Fried Chicken, for property located at 2943 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett. This property is located within the “C-H” Highway Business Zoning District.

Any citizen who may wish to appear at Bartlett City Hall and testify either for or against this request will be heard. Written comments, either for or against, may be addressed to the attention of Terry Emerick, Director of Planning, 6382 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134; and are to be received no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16th, 2015.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Bartlett Historic Preservation Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 27, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall Annex, 6382 Stage Road, Bartlett, Tennessee.

The Commission will hear the request of Brian and Genevieve Cooper, for approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness to build an addition to the residence at 3101 Sycamore View Road , in the City of Bartlett Historic District. A Certificate of Appropriateness is required by the Zoning Ordinance, Article VI, Section 25.

A copy of this application may be seen in the Planning Office at the Bartlett City Hall Annex, weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Comments may be addressed to the attention of Terry Emerick, Director, Planning and Economic Development, 6382 Stage Road, Bartlett, Tennessee 38134, and are to be received no later than 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015.

PUBLIC NOTICE
SHELBY COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
FY 2016 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
JULY 1, 2015 – JUNE 30, 2016

The Shelby County Department of Housing (SCDH) has prepared a draft of the Federal Fiscal Year 2015 SCDH Annual Action Plan which will be effective from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016 for Shelby County Fiscal Year 2016. This document is required by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the receipt of various grant funding sources including Community Development Block Grant and HOME Grant Entitlement funds. The Annual Plan describes needs identified and activities proposed by SCDH and the Urban County to address housing and community development needs, especially needs in low- to moderate- income areas of Shelby County outside of the City of Memphis between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.

SCDH anticipates receiving: $1,076,137.00 in CDBG funds, $10,000.00 in CDBG Program income, $276,826.00 in HOME grant funds, $15,000.00 in HOME program income, and $63,000.00 in local match funds for use during Shelby County’s Fiscal Year 2016. The following table summarizes expenditures proposed in the Annual Plan for July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016.

The SCDH Annual Plan for July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 will be available for public review from April 3, 2015 through May 8, 2015 at the Shelby County Department of Housing, 1075 Mullins Station Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38134 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additionally, the documents will be available at the following library branches in Shelby County: Benjamin Hooks Central Library, Arlington Library, Bartlett Library, Collierville Library, Germantown Library and Millington Library and by clicking on the Community Development Block Grant link under the Department of Housing webpage on the Shelby County website at www.shelbycountytn.gov

In order to solicit public comments on the Annual Action Plan SCDH will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 21, 2015 at the Shelby County Department of Housing located in the Peggy Edmiston Administration Building, 1075 Mullins Station Road, Room W-263Memphis, Tennessee 38134. Individuals attending the meeting should enter through the Department of Housing’s main entrance located at the center door on the west side of the building. If you plan to attend this hearing and have special needs, please contact the Department of Housing at (901) 222-7610 by Monday April 13, 2015 and we will work to accommodate you.

For those unable to attend the public hearing, written comments or suggestions will be accepted through 4:30 p.m. on May 8, 2015. Written comments should be addressed to Mr. Scott Walkup; Shelby County Department of Housing, 1075 Mullins Station Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38134. SCDH will respond to written comments within five working days of their receipt.
