The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting for Carroll’s Roofing and Construction LLC. Although the business is Lakeland’s newest addition, it was established in the 1930s, and Derrick and Sonya Carroll are the third generation in the family to own it. Carroll’s Roofing and Construc-tion can be found at 10036 U.S. 70, next to Gibson Paving. At the center with the scissors is Lakeland Vice Mayor Josh Roman, and to his right are Sonya and Derrick Carroll.
