The Mid-South honored its veterans with celebrations the week of Nov. 11. ABOVE: Tony Looney, at left, and Mr. McCaskey joined other veterans, their families and other citizens in Bartlett at the 2016 Veterans Day service. They were attending the event in Veterans Park, located at the corner of Bartlett Road and Bartlett Boulevard, at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11. BELOW: Lakeland Elementary School students honored the veterans with pre-Veterans Day programs and parades. Grades 3-5 assembled for their program and a parade around the neighborhood first, followed by a picnic, and then the school held the program and parade for grades K-2.
