Thirteen area schools competed in the annual District I acting contest for the Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League (THSSDL).

The students who advanced to state competed in Brentwood, Tenn., on April 11-12. THSSDL district competition includes categories for extemporaneous speaking, solo acting, one-act plays, interpreters, and theater and public debate.

The Arlington High School cast of “Speak” took second place at the Tennessee High School Speech and Drama League (THSSDL) district competition, recently held at AHS. Two Bolton sudents qualifed for the state competition: Jasmine Robertson placed second in solo acting, and Noah Donald placed first in solo acting.
