History lovers ushered in the holiday season with a visit to an “Old Fashioned Christmas” open house hosted at the Gotten House by the Bartlett Historical Society 2-4 p.m. on Sunday. They were guided by docents and Historical Society members such as Debora Moore, at right. The home was decorated for Christmas as it would have been in 1866 as part of the City of Bartlett’s 150-year celebration. Flutes and the pump organ provided Christmas music, and refreshments were served. The Bartlett Historical Society is located in the Bartlett Museum/Gotten House, 2969 Court Street in Bartlett. Admission is free with donations accepted. The open house will be hosted again 2-4 p.m. Dec. 4. Photo by John Collins.
