Ex-teacher gets 3 months in jail for statutory rape

Former Bolton High School math teacher LaTorrence Bivens, 31, has pleaded guilty to the 2013 aggravated statutory rape of a teenager.
It was announced Tuesday that he has been sentenced to 90 days and will be on probation for three years.
He was reportedly in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student at his apartment in Memphis during January through April 2013.
Fireworks, food and fun come to Arlington
Arlington will hosts its Star Spangled Spectacular on Saturday, June 25, at the Arlington Sports Complex on Memphis-Arlington Road.
