Kids: Break out those fishing poles June 4

Children ages 12 and younger have a great chance to pull in big fish and prizes in three age categories this Saturday at Bartlett’s annual Children’s Fishing Rodeo. The event will be earlier than usual, from 6 a.m. until 9 a.m., to capitalize on the cooler morning weather when more fish are biting. It will be at Appling Lake in the Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center (U.S. 70 and Appling Road, Bartlett).

The event is free, but registration is required. Preregistration is at Gator Brown’s Bait & Tackle at 6816 Hwy 70 in Bartlett, or children can register at the event. For a list of categories and other information, visit cityofbartlett.org/709/Childrens-Fishing-Rodeo.
