Patriotic Pops to stir the heart at Friday event
There’s nothing like making your patriotic heart happy with music. The Catholic Church of the Nativity presents a Patriotic Pops Organ Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Admission is free but donations from attendees will be accepted during a freewill offering to benefit the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
The event features Dr. Scott Elsholz on organ; Tyrus R. Legge Jr., CAGO, on organ; and Melissa Warwell on flute and piccolo. A reception will follow. For details, call (901) 382-2504.

Hiring fair today to support vets
The U.S Chamber of Commerce Foundation and lead sponsor FedFx are hosting the “Hiring Our Heroes” Hiring Fair today, June 16, for Memphis-area veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses. It begins at 8:30 a.m. with a workshop and then the hiring fair at 10:30 a.m. All events will be at the Salvation Army Kroc Center at 800 East Parkway South in Memphis.
