Youth Villages seeks more foster parents

If you have room in your heart and in your life to help children in need, Youth Villages eagerly waits to hear from you. The facility needs more foster parents.

Youth Villages is hosting a free foster parent training at 6 p.m. tonight, July 14, and also at 10 a.m. July 16. Both sessions will be at the Youth Villages office at 5515 Shelby Oaks Drive in Memphis.

The training is open to anyone interested in becoming a foster or adoptive parent through Youth Villages. To register, call Tiffany Dickerson at (901) 252-5000, Ext. 1290.

Lakeland sets concert dates

Lakeland has announced dates for a new concert series at the International Harvester (IH) Park Stage, also known as “The LAMP.” Performances will be 7-10 p.m. and will include:

  • July 30: Swingin’ Leroy
  • Aug. 27: The Dantones, with Ted Horrell & the Monday Night Card
  • Sept. 24: To be announced
  • Oct. 22:To be announced
