Bartlett Academy moves preview date to 26th

Bartlett 9th Grade Academy moved its preview night to Feb. 26 because of wintry weather on the original date. Hours will be 5-7 p.m. The event will be open to all current eighth-grade students and their families.

School representatives will be available to talk about the pre-registration process, course offerings, extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities for the 2015-16 school year.

Feb. 28 lecture advises how to raise chickens

CHICKENIf you’ve always thought about raising chickens and enjoying your own stash of fresh eggs, now’s your chance.

Join Bobby Lanier of the Shelby Farm Park staff at 10 a.m. Feb. 28 and learn the how-to as well as the local ordinances.

The lecture will be in the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike, Germantown.

The lecture is free, but pre-registration is required; call (901) 757-7378.

Month of Muslim events designed for interaction

Celebrate the 13th annual Muslims in Memphis event throughout March. The activities are designed to promote understanding and give the public an opportunity for fellowship and interaction with persons of the Muslim faith.
