Bartlett’s girls went cold in an extra period as Germantown topped the young Panthers 48-42 in overtime Tuesday.
Coach Lynn Whitfield’s squad carried a 34-29 going into the final eight minutes of play before Germantown knotted it a 40-all at the end of regulation.
Bartlett could only muster a single bucket in the bonus frame as Germantown advanced their record to 6-1 on the year.
Shuntavia Rodgers and Shondria Scruggs continue to grow up fast as the pair hit for 17 and 14 respectively. Shelby Organ added six while Grace White had three and Madison Carroll two in the loss.
Briana Mitchell led Germantown with 16 on the night.
FCA 71 Bartlett 46
In a rare Thursday night contest, home-schooled FCA toppled Bartlett 71-46.
The Nighthawks broke open a 13-8 contest after one to double up the Panthers in the second period for a 39-21 cushion.
Shondira Scruggs hit for 17 in the loss while Shuntavia Rodgers added a dozen. Grace White had six points with Madison Carroll, Stella Gill and Shelby Organ each tossing in three. Kelsey Baker had two on the night.
Jennifer Milewski led all scorers with 26 for FCA.
