Bartlett PD Please remember that when we operate a vehicle in this state we are to maintain liability insurance. If you are involved in an accident that is reported to the Department of Safety they expect to see that you have proof of insurance at the time of the accident. If you do not have this policy in effect your driver’s license could be suspended. Also if you are stopped by the Police for any reason they will also ask to see proof of insurance. Not having proof of Insurance could also result in an additional charge on your citation. Keep an up to date copy of your policy in the vehicle at all times.
