The Higdon family, longtime residents of Bartlett, honored Myrtle Lewis Higdon, 90, who died Sept. 25, 2016, with a historical element to her memorial services. An antique horse-drawn carriage carried her casket through the historic district of Bartlett on her last ride.
Family members, friends and city leaders followed on foot or met at Bartlett United Methodist Church for her services at noon Wednesday, Sept. 28.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Higdon, and her son, Alan Higdon; three grandchildren, Brittney Kutz, Marie and Cameron Bonds, as well as two great-grandchildren, Carter and Case Kutz.
Arrangements were handled by Bartlett Funeral Home.
So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember your folks when I was much younger. Hope the family is doing well.
