Wolfchase Barnes & Noble is hosting three upcoming authors’ events:
- 6-8 p.m. Nov. 30: Book signing with Juanita Ingram, author of “Fabulous Faithful and Free”
- 3 p.m. Dec. 1: Discussion and book signing with Teresa Lynn, author of true crime book “A Killing in Vicksburg.” She will be accompanied by the ghost hunters who discovered the murdered woman’s body.
- 11 a.m. Dec. 8: Storytime and book signing featuring Dr. Christopher Knott-Craig, author of the Weird Animal Club series
Transformations
Author Juanita Ingram will visit Wolfchase Barnes & Noble on Nov. 30 for a book signing. Her book, “Fabulous, Faithful, and Free: A Transformational Guide to Loving Yourself with Boldness,” will help you look at these questions: Are you stuck in a dead-end situation? Do you know you have great potential inside, but fear you’ll always fall short? Do you feel like you’re letting yourself down? In “Fabulous, Faithful and Free,” Ingram takes the reader step-by-step through a personal transformation to unlock the reader’s unique gifts, reveal true beauty and unleash dreams.
She is an international author, attorney and fashion philanthropist. She has been recognized as a Lawyer of Distinction in 2018. Ingram is also the founder and board chairman of Dress for Success Greater London. As an advocate for young girls and women, she speaks internationally on topics regarding female empowerment, style, self-worth, identity and goal attainment.
True crime
Teresa Lynn has a Dec. 1 appearance at the store to discuss and sign copies of her true crime book, “A Killing in Vicksburg.”
Syndicated columnist Anne McKee wrote that the book is a definite page-turner, adding, “‘A Killing in Vicksburg’ will linger in one’s mind for many years. Fast-paced dialog and images of the characters make the storyline, although true, unique in today’s world.”
Children’s self esteem
Author and Memphis resident Christopher Knott-Craig, MD, will be at the store on Dec. 8. as part of the store’s usual Saturday Storytime, he will be there to represent two new children’s picture books in his Weird Animal Club Series. They are “The Weird Animal Club Goes to School” and “The Weird Animal Club at Halloween,” published by Archway Publishing, a subsidiary of Simon and Schuster.
Knott-Craig is an internationally recognized pediatric cardiac surgeon. He understands that many children carry physical and emotional scars that lead to feelings of inadequacy. These scars can be sources of great anxiety and isolation for both children and parents. He passes along the message that their scars are physical reminders that they are special. His series about the Weird Animal Club exemplifies how differences can make them special and how differences don’t matter when it comes to making friends.
