LAKELAND — An explosion seriously burned an MLGW contractor working on a storm drain in Lakeland this morning. He turned the valve on a butane tank, which exploded. The accident happened on the 4300 block of Gillespie.
First responders took the victim, Jeff Fuhrman, to Regional Medical Center (also known as Region One, or The Med) for treatment. No word is available yet on his condition.
