Weekly ham radio meeting: The Shelby County Office of Preparedness invites all licensed amateur “ham” radio operators to check into the net weekly at 6 p.m. Mondays, on the SCOoPERNET (Shelby County Office of Preparedness Emergency Ham Radio Net). Attendees can dial their radios to 147.090 107.2 (VHF) and check in. The net will also be activated during inclement weather events. Biking: The Memphis Hightailers Bike Club offers a Bartlett ride at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday, leaving from the Baskin-Robbins parking lot (5788 Stage Road, Bartlett). Led by a trained ride leader, this is a no-drop ride at an intermediate/social pace, ideal for those who are new to riding or want to improve their speed and road skills. The route is through Bartlett neighborhoods for about 15 miles. Participants will need a helmet and bike light, as ride usually ends just after dusk. Uncommon Threads Quilt Guild: 6:15-9 p.m. on the fourth Tuesdays of the month at Germantown United Methodist Church, 2331 S. Germantown Road.
