At the regular monthly meeting of the Shelby County Election Commission (SCEC on June 21, commissioners voted unanimously to certify the results of the June 15 election, won by Kevin Vaughn.
“Everything balanced perfectly,” said Linda Phillips, administrator of elections for SCEC.
During the meeting, Democratic commissioner Norma Lester recognized Phillips for her smooth and efficient handling of the election.
Long-time election poll worker and member of the Germantown Democratic Club, Rose Ann Bradley, stood and gave a brief report about the poll workers and their use of the polling pads under consideration for purchase.
“They saved a lot of time, and everyone enjoyed using them,” Bradley said.
