Chilly weather didn’t keep the Easter egg hunters from bringing their baskets to Freeman Park in Bartlett this weekend.
City organizers estimated that more than 500 people attended, jockeying to see who could pick up the most of the 10,000 colorful eggs dotting the lawn.
Sponsors included Brother International, USA Karate, and Putt-Putt Golf and Games.
Winners of the Easter Basket Decoration Contest included:
- Ages 0-3: Layla Agree, first; Brooklyn Wright, second; and Jonah Maser, third.
- Ages 4-5: Jesse Wieber, first; Molly Mutchler, second; and Charlotte Hunt, third.
- Ages 6-7: Ella Bera, first; Avalyn Wylie, second; and Amelia Miller, third.
- Ages 8-10: Charlotte Mutchler, first; Cai Snyder, second; Kaidece McNease, third.
