Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) will host several adult student meet and greet sessions this month to help adult students ease into college and answer any questions they have about going back to school.
These sessions are being held in conjunction with the Tennessee Reconnect campaign to help adult students enter higher education to gain new skills, advance in the workplace and fulfill lifelong dreams of completing a degree or credential.
Rebecca Reeves, DSCC’s new adult student coordinator, will be available to assist students.
The meet-and-greet sessions will be:
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, at the Dyersburg campus inside the Student Center
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County inside the Learning Resource Center, Room 104
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, Jan.ary 29 at the Gibson County Center
During each event, a light lunch will be served, along with a meet and greet with faculty and staff and other adult students facing similar challenges for non-traditional students.
Adult students will also have the opportunity to speak with faculty and staff concerning financial aid, programs available, registration and more.
