“Cycle the Greenway,” the Wolf River Conservancy’s annual bicycle ride, will be held on 7 a.m.-2 p.m. June 7 .
Event parking and the bike ride’s start will be at Walnut Grove Road and Humphreys Boulevard in the Boyle parking lot. Registration is $45, and walk-in registration will be available at the event.
There will be three distances available of 27, 38 and 56 miles for all skill levels; including SAG (support and gear) stops where cyclists can re-hydrate and preform bike maintenance. A T-shirt, water bottle, eco-friendly tote bag and lunch will be provided to each participant. Current registrants can pick up T-shirts after the event.
The schedule of events is as follows:
- 6:30 a.m., check-in and walk-up registration begins
- 7:30 a.m., ride begins for all three race distances
- 8:30-11:30 a.m., bike decorating and crafts for children
- 9 a.m.-11 a.m., Family Eco Ride (shorter distance with fun and educational stops along the Wolf River)
- 10:45 a.m., lunch served
Registration for the Family Eco Ride is $35 per family, and walk-up registration will be available at the event. Family event participants can purchase T-shirts on the day of the event. For more information or registration for the Family Fun Ride, call (901) 452-6500.
