Course offered Feb. 19-20 on orthotics and prosthetics

Professionals who provide orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) to patients are invited to attend a free half-day introductory course in Memphis in February.

The course is titled “Clinical Management and Orthotic Application Influencing Gait Biomechanics in Patients with Neurological Conditions,” and it is presented by Wolfchase Limb & Brace and Trulife.

The course offers an overview of lower extremity biomechanics along with treatment options and orthotic intervention for the neurological patient.

Participants will earn 3.75 physical therapy (PT) and physical therapy assistant (PTA) credit hours approved by the Tennessee Physical Therapy Association (TNPTA). The continuing education units (CEUs) were also approved by ABC/BOC accrediting agencies.

The course lasts for four hours and is offered on Feb. 19 and again on Feb. 20.

Times are 4-8 p.m. both days (sandwiches provided) with sign-in beginning 15 minutes in advance. The location is at Wolfchase Limb & Brace, 7625 U.S. 64, Suite 103, Memphis. Sign-in and sign-out are required to receive credit.
